Projects

Each project represents a unique story, providing insights into my journey and expertise.

Project ECHO - Ghana

Program Coordinator, MDA Cancer Center

As an Administrative lead of Project ECHO - Ghana, I play a pivotal role in fostering consultative learning among local physicians to enhance cancer care globally. This innovative tele-mentoring platform connects specialists worldwide with local healthcare providers to share knowledge and best practices. We run four dynamic programs: Oncology Medicine, Plastic Surgery, Breast and Cervical Cancer Care, and Bioethics. Each program is designed to address specific needs and challenges in the medical field, promoting a comprehensive approach to health and ethical medical practices in Ghana and beyond. My role involves coordinating these programs and ensuring effective communication and resource allocation to maximize our impact on cancer care worldwide.

DHM Experience
( Branding and Norms )

A member of the Brand and Norms Committee for Hospital Medicine is an enriching and responsible role that involves safeguarding the image and ensuring adherence to core values and practices within the field of hospital medicine. Committee members work collaboratively to define, maintain, and promote the professional standards and ethical guidelines underpinning hospital medicine practice. This involves a deep commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, and compassion in patient care. Through their efforts, the committee plays a pivotal role in shaping the public perception of the hospital and its medical staff, ensuring that the institution's brand resonates with trust, quality, and leadership in healthcare. By establishing and upholding these norms, the committee helps to create an environment where medical practitioners can thrive professionally while delivering the highest level of care to their patients.

Community Youth Outreach

The Department of Hospital Medicine has recently launched an innovative youth community outreach initiative designed to inspire and educate young minds about the exciting world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Recognizing the critical importance of nurturing early interest in these fields, the initiative aims to bridge the gap between medical professionals and the community, providing hands-on experiences, interactive workshops, and engaging talks by experts in hospital medicine and related STEM disciplines. Through this program, the department seeks to spark curiosity and passion for science and technology among the youth and highlight the vast array of career opportunities available in the medical and technological fields. This endeavor underscores the department's commitment to investing in the future by empowering the next generation with the knowledge, skills, and inspiration needed to drive innovation and progress in healthcare and beyond.
